Solid World 2021-04-01 notes === **Summary** The _Solid World_ monthly events are very useful. As Gitter chats are too busy and go to all directions, these video meetings are the best way to understand what is in focus now, especially the _Solid Roadmap_. Material from this webinar will be available via https://solidproject.org/events. 182 people attended this event. For more such reports, please see the notes of previous such webinars from the [CERN-Solid collaboration index](http://solid.cern.ch). **Solid Roadmap Update** Tim Berners-Lee: The Web is 32 years old. Thanks to Sharon [see slides from the Women of Solid meeting](https://www.womenofsolid.org/meetup.html), Alain, Noel and other developers for their recent advancements in SolidOS. Ruben Verborgh: Community Solid Server (CSS) v.1.0 will be ready this summer. Finalising the _own_ ID provider integration is pending. Osmar Olivo: Inrupt's Enterprise Solid Server (ESS) v.1.1 is out with emphasis on security. Major enhancements are around client and application management. ESS requires AuTHentication/AuTHoriZation from applications as well as from users. The swedish government has approached Inrupt to discuss goverment applications based on Solid. ESS will offer a standard API for developers to interface with their applications. Inrupt Product users are invited to fill a Survey: https://www.research.net/r/GWWJB7V **Graphmetrix** – Kai Gilb & Frederick Gibson Topic: Showcase their Solid Pod and Apps, which includes exciting technologies like ontologies and more. **Nextcloud** – Yvo Brevoort Topic: The presentation describes what they've been doing with the grant from NLNet that they’ve received. It describes the how and why of the 3 major parts of the project: the test suite, standalone PHP solid server, and the Solid-Nextcloud plugin (which transforms a Nextcloud installation into a solid identity and storage provider). Looking ahead to see what the next steps would look like and how the community can contribute. **Spoter.ME** – Tony Rodriguez Topic: This presentation is about their POD as a Service solution and technical foundation. Tony shared some insides about their beta system and showed a short demo. Perspectives and possibilities for the future discussion followed. **Notes from the Q&A** Ernst Hafen @ehafen Co-founder of the Swiss Health Data Cooperative MIDATA.coop, interested to find out whether we could use SOLID in the next generation of personal data cooperatives and data commons. Health data need to be encrypted and use the new FHIR API. Are there any developers in the Solid ecosystem to we could talk with. Thanks very much for this great initiative @TBL and community.
